We knew that with great British produce, we could make the best burgers we’d tasted – anywhere. We use British cheese, British veg and British relish. We’re homegrown and homemade – we always have been and we always will be.
Brooklyn is one of the best places in the world to eat a burger. For my money it’s also one of the best places to drink an ice cold beer – at a very dark bar, blasted with AC while the streets burn up outside on hot August day.
Luckily I got to do both of these things, lots, during a week-long stay in New York’s coolest borough this summer. The burger you’re about to order is inspired by the very best burger I tasted (Gus's Chop House).
New Yorkers would call this a ‘pub burger’ – a thick patty simply adorned with classic ingredients that pack a punch, like pilsner beer-braised onions and a rich dijon mustard-laced mayo.
