We taste lots of new products in our weekly recipe development sessions, always on the lookout for new burger ideas. Fable is one of those rare products that's as delicious as it is groundbreaking. Once we tried it we couldn't wait to put it to good use.
Created by mushroom foraging fanatics, Fable is a really meaty plant-based protein made from shiitake mushrooms and a handful of other natural ingredients (pictured here).

Jim Fuller is a BBQ loving Texan, a fine dining chef, a chemical engineer and a mycologist. As a chef, Jim was inspired by Heston Blumenthal’s molecular gastronomy movement and went on to study Chemical Engineering and Agricultural Science.
He has spent the last 15 years cultivating culinary, exotic and medicinal mushrooms.
