Brixton Market shaped Honest’s early days (we bought ‘chippy’s choice’ British potatoes and veg from the market stall opposite) and it still does. We’ve always been a best-of-British place.
We’ve blended Mama Nati's West Indian hot sauce with mayo so it’s tangy but not too spicy.
Our Assistant Manager Edgardo visited the local farmer’s market and found Natasha, a Hammersmith resident, and her hot sauce company ‘Mama Nati’ - which is the Creole word for ‘Mother Nature’.
Natasha’s mother is a chef and both her grandmothers make hot sauce from scratch, so she to make a Barbados-style mustard-based hot sauce because she couldn’t find anything like it in London.
